Lovers of Food and Print United Last Night
Amanda Faison, Food Editor of 5280 Magazine, has brilliantly put together a book club that reads cookbooks and food-related books. Last night’s Food Lover’s Book Club was held at the Cherry Creek branch of the Denver Public Library system. Edward Lee’s book on pickling was featured but taking it one step further, The Real Dill, local pickle proprietors, joined the forum AND gave sample jars of their Cajun-Style Pickled Okra. Wow, what an interesting combination that I am excited to try! If you like pie, put Oct. 29 at six on your calendar and join the group. Rumor has it that a local pie baker will be bringing samples!
