Brie and Pesto Appetizer

  • 1 pound wheel brie
  • ~1/2 - 3/4 cup basil pesto
  • Crackers and Apples, sliced
  • Basil leaves to garnish



Step 1

Slice brie horizontally and remove top, set aside. Scoop pesto onto bottom half, cover to edges and so that it is about 1/4 - 1/2" thick. Replace top onto pesto and place brie in a glass pie dish that is just slightly larger than the brie.

Step 2

Heat oven to 350 degrees. When it reaches temperature, turn oven off and place brie inside. Let it bake for 30-45 minutes, remove and serve with crackers and sliced apples. The pesto will ooze out the sides and the brie will be the perfect spreading consistency. Leftover tip - it is great the next day over pasta!
