Ingredients

  • lemon or raspberries
  • **Creme de Cassis or Chambord or White wine
  • Sparkling wine/Champagne

Method

Step 1

Using the thicker edge of a zester, peel a piece of lemon about 2 inches long, set aside.

Step 2

Into a fluted champagne glass, pour in cassis and champagne at a ratio of 1:9. (Seriously, I never measure this but it gives you an idea how much you should use.) Place lemon over edge of glass or, if using raspberry, drop into glass.

Step 3

*"Kir Royale" is Cassis and Lemon zest or Chambord and Raspberry. "Kir" is White Wine with either fruit.

Step 4

**Cassis is black currant liqueur and Chambord is raspberry liqueur. Both are amazing and my favorite aperitif!
