Peanut Butter Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter, crunchy
  • 1 generous teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cup flour (add 1 tablespoon if at high altitude)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs, peanut butter, vanilla and chocolate chips.

Step 2

Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix well by hand. No electric mixer!

Step 3

Into a 9" square glass baking dish, spray with cooking spray and "sugar." (Shake sugar in so as to keep brownies from sticking.) Add batter and spread out evenly.

Step 4

Bake for 30 minutes.
