Small Plates in Summit County, CO
While in Beaver Creek over the holidays, we took a cooking break to enjoy small plates at Metropolitan in the Village. Since cookbook #2 is going to be Small Plates and Desserts, I am always looking for new inspirations. The Met definitely succeeded! Of the four dishes we ordered, we loved three of them. The Shishito Peppers were compared with Serrano Peppers by our server and turned out to be very tame. I like enough heat to wake up my taste buds but not to launch me into the next meal! But I definitely recommend the Champinon Rellenos, Apricot & Prosciutto Scallops and the Sweet & Salty Sprouts. The flavors and presentation were soooo good!
