Ingredients

  • 3 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 T. EVOO
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 12 T. butter
  • 2 tsp. chipotle powder (may substitute chili powder)
  • 4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 2/3 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • Skewers, wooden or metal
  • 2 Baguettes, sliced
  • Pasta of choice, 2 pounds

Method

Step 1

In a large bowl, toss shrimp with oil, garlic and 3/4 tsp. salt and set aside to marinate while preparing sauce.

Step 2

Heat butter, chipotle powder, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 tsp. salt in a small saucepan until butter is melted. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Use lid to keep warm.

Step 3

Begin boiling large pot of salted water for pasta, cook according to directions and personal preference. Keep warm.

Step 4

Meanwhile, thread shrimp onto skewers lengthwise so that the flat surfaces cook more evenly. Cook over very hot grill for a total of 3-4 minutes. Remove from skewers into a bowl, toss with Worcestershire mixture until shrimp are well coated.

Step 5

Serve shrimp over pasta on individual plates with baguette. Serves 8
